Role Overview
A Technical Writer Intern will be responsible for creating, editing, maintaining, and maintaining quality documentation for tools and software. The person who is selected is responsible for ensuring clarity, consistency and accuracy in every form of technical communication. This position provides a thorough exposure to processes in the engineering of products and enables a thorough understanding of how technology can be translated into usable documents.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and organise user guides as well as product documentation. API reference guides for software programs.
- Collaboration together with the developers, QA specialists, and Product managers to gain information and transform technical details into concise, clear documents.
- Edit and proofread content in order to enhance readability, tone and accuracy.
- Make changes to existing documentation in order to ensure that it is in line with the latest new features in the product Release notes, release notes and technical standards.
- Control document formatting and versioning according to industry standards and style guidelines.
- Create informative content, including FAQs and release notes, tutorials, as well as information base posts.
- Perform peer reviews in order to ensure the consistency and quality throughout all delivered items.
- Help in organising workflows for documentation with the help of modern tools and technology.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- A solid understanding of the fundamentals of software development and experience with the concepts of coding.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication abilities, with a keen eye for detail and grammatical rigour.
- The capability to convey intricate technical terms in a simple and easy-to-understand language.
- Experience with MS Office or Google Docs. A basic knowledge of Markdown, Markdown, or similar tools for documentation is helpful.
- Ability to remain organised, keep track of timelines, and effectively collaborate within teams with different functions.
Preferred Skills
- An understanding of basic APIs, SDKs, Cloud technologies, APIs and SDKs.
- Experience with the software documentation frameworks as well as automation tools like Doxygen, Sphinx, or Swagger.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Be aware of the process for releasing products and agile practices for documentation.
- Ability to learn and adjust quickly to a changing workplace.
