AIG Insurance Mourns The Passing Of Former
Industry veteran who worked with AIG, Chubb and CNA Financial
American International Group, Inc. (AIG) Board Thomas F. My deepest condolences to the family of Motmed, who recently passed away. Motmed served on the AIG insurance company Board of Directors from 2019 January to 2023 January.

Throughout his distinguished career with Chubb Corporation and CNA Financial, Tom has impressed the insurance assiduity with his fidelity to helping agents, brokers, guests and other mates profit from his sapience, expertise and judgment.
A unique career in the insurance industry ( AIG insurance company )
Motamed was the president and CEO of CNA Financial Corporation from 2009 to 2016. He serves as the Executive Committee’s chair and is in charge of CNA Financial Corporation’s overall business units’ strategy, performance, and supervision.
He has been with Chubb Corporation for more than 30 years, rising to Vice President and COO.
During his time at Chubb, Motmed held a variety of claims management roles including general counsel, corporate counsel, litigation manager and national claims audit manager.
He then worked in the company’s field organization, including marketing manager, branch manager, and head of the western division.
Motamed has significantly influenced the insurance sector through its knowledge, vision, and participation on numerous boards of directors.
He was director of the Insurance Information Institute. Member and former chair of the Adelphi University Board of Trustees; Member of the Board of Directors of Verisk Analytics, Member of the Board of Directors of the Research Institute and Director of the Board of Directors of World Business Chicago.

AIG announced in January 2023 that Mohammed will step down from the board for health reasons.
At the time, Zafino thanked MotaMed for his management and plenty of contributions to AIG insurance company over the years.
