Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Review, discuss, and make reports of defects and confirm problems reported by junior testers when reviewing defects reported by the testers while reviewing.
- Find issues quickly, analyse alternatives, prioritise tasks and move them to the next level in order to resolve.
- Provide prompt status reports on projects assigned to the supervisors.
- Help with Test Plan development (including scope tests, types of testing tools, estimation, and scope), as well as Test Design, Regression Suite, and Defect Tracking.
- Convert requirements from clients into specifications for the system, as well as test and development plans.
- Perform Bug Tracking, Bug Reporting, and Risk Analysis.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- A solid understanding of STLC, SDLC, test methods, and Agile methodology.
- Experience hands-on with Jira as well as a similar tool for defect monitoring.
- Experience in a variety of testing types that include SQL query writing for validation of databases and screening system logs.
- Experience with mobile and web testing of applications.
- API testing with Postman as well as Swagger.
- Automation testing using Java in Selenium Experience to Hybrid, Data Driven, Keyword Driven, and Behaviour Driven frameworks.
- Mobile automation using Appium.
- Testing performance using JMeter.
- STB testing experience is a benefit.
- UI testing your knowledge using GTmetrix.
- Experience working with Jenkins for pipelines to CI/CD, Maven, and Git.
- Automation of APIs using HTTP client and Rest Assured.
- A basic grasp of testing security.
- Excellent communication, analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- ISTQB or similar software testing certifications are preferred.
